A vigorously venomous campaign is afoot these days to malign homeopathy as quackery. World health and medical organizations have rejected homeopathy as totally unscientific and logically untenable. And demands are mounting to declare it as such and its practice be totally banned in Europe  and United States; and FDA has ordered that on the label of every vial of homeopathic medicine the word ‘Unscientific’ be printed under the name of the medicine.  Australia has followed in their steps. Lately Russia has also affixed a stamp on homeopathy as a patent lie and a blatant falsehood.

This developing scenario the author of the book foresaw and pre-warned the profession and gave a clarion call to wake up and change their benighted attitude. He asked them to equip themselves with the extant knowledge of modern medicine and technology—as it was the only way for homeopathy to prevent its extinction from over the face of the earth.

The medical knowledge has advanced in strides and no loopholes are left for chance. Technology has helped to make diagnosis of diseases so exact and accurate that it is touching to becoming predictive. Doctors can now tell what is brewing in the deep recesses of an individual and what diseases would befall him in near future. Cases are so admirably controlled and handled. Suppressions and palliations are no more bogeys in the field of medicine.

The modern motto in the therapeutic world is: life should be made useful and preserved by all means. Certainty in handling diseases is based now on the mathematical accuracy as two plus two makes four, not five not even three.

Modern medicine has usurped many pet fields of homeopathy, and has made them redundant, and look primitive. Obstetrics and midwifery is the first casualty in this list. Very voluminous books on this subject written by great homeopaths (e.g. Dr. Guernsey’s one thousand paged classical book entitled:  OBSTETRICS)—have become obsolete. Now when a woman hears that she is pregnant, the first thing that she does is to get her registered in the obstetric ward of a hospital. Similarly eyes problems have become the jurisdiction of eyes surgeon or specialist. Phaco-surgery has become the rage of the day. And rightly so!  The gall bladder cases such as Cholylithiasis are admirably dealt with laparoscopic surgery.  There is no sense now in treating cases of cataract and gall stones on hazardous conventional lines.

This book is futuristic for the serious homeopaths who want to live and survive as respectable homeopaths, and want to know what shape homeopathy is going assume in near future.

Debby‘s Opinions are relevant here:

Dr. Usmani is averse to detail the exploits or successes of his clinical practice. He seldom discusses cases. His field is totally theoretic.  He wants to lay bare the real face of the science of homeopathy, and provide it a solid base of science, so that its practitioners may stand confidently at par with the practitioners of the dominant school. Every new article of his is a renewed attempt to peel off scales of mysticism and dogmatism from over the face of homeopathy. He strongly believes that without a solid foundation of pathologic knowledge of diseases and basing the therapeutic thereon homeopathy is doomed to oblivion. And this was Dr. Burnett’s mission which Dr. Usmani upholds without trepidation and with solemnity.

Debby Bruck, founder Homeopathy World Community: (from Introduction)

It is a survival fight for homeopathy to keep it relevant to the future therapeutics that is going to be based exclusively on hard scientific and intricate discoveries, totally based on laboratory findings; and the progress of the case would be measured basing on the strings of further elaborate testing.                                                                                        Debby Bruck (ibid)

This book is a wake-up call for homeopaths to equip themselves with:

  •  True medical knowledge;
  • True scientific knowledge of modern medicine;
  • True logical and matter-of-fact knowledge of homeopathy and practical efficacy in its therapeutics.
